Raised on a cotton, corn and tobacco farm in North Carolina, Daisy developed a love of animals at a young age. She raised, trained and showed dogs for many years. Retiring from real estate after 26 years, she became matron at Bethlehem Retreat Farm in beautiful southwestern Virginia. Arthur and Hazel were real animals on the farm, in addition to other goats, chickens and llamas. Daisy still maintains a home in North Carolina.
